We are taught, from an early age, to be prudent and frugal. We are urged to make good, respectful use of our limited resources. We are encouraged to live within our means and not to expect a limitless supply of all we desire. That’s right in one way, but it can cause us to forget that some things are truly endless. The story that I want to  share is not unlike what many of the info entrepreneurs are doing… but it’s not original.

Live in Abundance

Now, there are some that have a pretty good philosophy… they talk about abundance. Matter of fact, they live in abundance. I cam’t personally verify that… but I can see that a lot of these men and women have a passion for creating great abundance. From what I can see, it’s not just for themselves, either. They are inviting a lot of people along for the “ride”. That’s a GOOD thing… a very good thing. They understand the principles that govern our lives in relation to abundance. But it’s not new…

I have no criticism of anyone, or their methods… I think they’re doing a GREAT service, even as they does business. Far be it for me to say anything to the contrary. I admire them… I really do! Jonathan Budd just opened a new site (which I signed-up for) that I believe is called “Life Transformation Club”(?)…not sure if I have the name right which I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s going to establish.. Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be interesting.

On to my point… these teachings that are being espoused, have been around for thousands of years, in various shapes and forms. For example, I was writing the contents for a flyer, promoting an event for a spiritual teacher, and Enlightened Master, Dr. Baskaran Pillai. The content was concerning “Supernormal ” powers or “Siddhis” and our ability to acquire them.

The writings are authored by a highly revered Siddha by the name of Patanjali. He’s considered the Father of Yoga. These writngs are known  as the “YOGA SUTRAS of Patanjalis.” They tell of  these esoteric teachings, which is what is being distilled and metered out by many of the business gurus in their programs. There are so many offerings out there, but there is just one that I put my faith in… Dr. Pillai….”The YouTube Guru”.  More  about Him, next time!!

For a long time,  most people felt like they could only get a workout by going to the gym. Exercise equipment used to be very expensive, and bulky, making it an impossible option for home use, and free weights just don’t provide the same level of resistance that an actual piece of workout equipment can provide. Fortunately, all that has changed, and no matter how busy your schedule might be, there’s a way that you can work exercise into your day.

Buy A Home Gym

Products like the Soloflex, and Bowflex can provide a great total body workout for a reasonable price. Instead of taking the time to go to the gym, all you have to do once you have one of these machines is clear a half hour of time each day to use it. I’m very fortunate to have room in our basement to have an intermediate version of Bowflex, as well as an NordicTrac Elipitical Trainer. Most of these home gyms include upper body, and lower body exercises so you can get a good total body workout with them.

Take Exercise To Work With You

If you have a busy work schedule, you can still make time to workout. Keep a set of free weights at your desk so that you can get in a little bit of exercise during your lunch break, or on a fifteen minute break. Free weights may not provide the same type of workout you can get from hitting the gym, but when you’re working late, a quick workout with some free weights is better than no workout at all. Now, for those of you who work at home, my friend Mary Lou Kayser has put together some interesting articles on working out while working at your home-office desk.

If you really can’t find time to workout in your work day, you can still make small changes in your habits. Consider taking the stairs instead of using the elevator, or walking to that restaurant down the street on your lunch break instead of driving.

It’s All Fun And Games

If you can’t workout at work, and you don’t have room for a home gym, there’s still hope. If your family has a video game console in the house, chances are there’s an exercise game for it. There are games to teach you everything from Yoga to cardio, and some of them will even help you track your fitness progress. The real advantage to something like this as opposed to a workout video is that the video stays the same each time you do it, while a workout game will change each time.

No matter how busy you  are or how limited your space is, you can find a workout option that works for you.  If  you want to get healthy, or stay healthy, whether you are 9 or 90 years old,  nothing is more important to you overall well-being than looking after you’re physical body. If you’re dedicated to your health, you’ll find a way to fit working out in to your day. Your Body, Mind and Spirit will Thank You for it.

We all wish we had a little more free time in our day. In order to free up some time for yourself, you have to find ways to get your work done quickly, and effectively. Keeping these productivity tips in mind will help you to get your work done efficiently, so that you can free up more time.

Use Instant Messaging

Whenever possible, try to replace phone calls and emails with instant messages. By IMing someone rather than calling them, or emailing them, you are more likely to get a quick and simple response to your question. When you call someone on the phone, you’re expected to exchange pleasantries, and make small talk. When you email someone, they won’t necessarily answer you right away. When you IM someone, a short impersonal message is perfectly acceptable, and IM’s convey a sense of urgency, making it more likely that you’ll get an immediate response.

Cut Back On Meetings

Meetings can be a severe drain on time. If you’re the one organizing the meetings, see if you can set up an online meeting using chat software. That way, your guests won’t have to spend time traveling to the meeting location. If you’re attending a lot of meetings, see which ones you can skip, and which you can’t. If you find yourself traveling to a lot of mandatory meetings, ask whoever is organizing them if they have considered holding online meetings.

Share Information Efficiently

Waiting for a client or coworker to send you a document can take up a lot of your time. Instead of having them email you when they’re ready, just have them save the document to a shared file hosting service. If you’re in the same office, there are a lot of options for sharing individual folders on a single PC across the entire network. If you are in different locations, there are a number of document hosting services like Google Documents that allow you to share your files with users anywhere in the world. Either way, you and your coworkers or clients can all access the same files, and make changes whenever necessary without having to take the time to send out a new version of the file. Sharing files with others in this manner will save you more time than you realize.

Taking small steps like the ones above will help you to streamline your day. If you can find more efficient ways to get your work done, you can free up more time in your day for other things.

A number of companies like Google and Microsoft have begun offering online storage, and online document editing services, referred to as “cloud computing” services. These services aren’t just a novelty, they’re actually extremely useful. Putting your data on a cloud computing service can save you a lot of time in the long run.

Having your data stored online is extremely convenient. You can access all of your files from any internet connected device, such as a computer, a laptop, a netbook, or even a smartphone. If you’re on the go a lot, you won’t have to worry about whether or not you remembered an important document. It’ll just be right there in the cloud with all the rest of your documents. Needless to say, this makes it extremely easy to be productive when you’re  traveling.

Cloud computing services also have extremely secure back up options. In most cases, your data will never be lost, and even if, by some fluke, it is, these services keep extensive backups of the information stored on their servers. No matter what, your data is safe on a cloud server. Storing your data on your computer leaves you far more vulnerable to data loss. If your computer crashes, and you haven’t made a backup of your important files recently, you might find yourself in a bad situation.

If you work primarily off of a laptop, having your computer stolen is a serious concern. If your important documents are all stored on a cloud server, rather than on your laptop, you don’t have to worry about losing important data if your computer does go missing. Also, you won’t have to worry about anyone seeing sensitive data if your data isn’t actually on the computer. For example, if you deal with documents that contain contact information for a lot of your clients, the last thing you want is for someone to get a hold of their contact info and use it for malicious purposes. Keeping your data on a cloud server means never having to worry about that information falling into the wrong hands.

The workplace is constantly changing and evolving. If you find yourself on the go a lot, or just switching between computers in your office from time to time, storing your data on a cloud computing service can save you a lot of trouble.

Throughout the course of a day, there are many things that might keep you from getting things done. Creating awareness of what constitutes unnecessary actions is important because these seemingly innocent interruptions, are usually subtle unconscious avoidance tactics. If you want to manage your time, and avoid losing it to most of these common distractions, the following are a few examples of some and a few ideas of how to get past them.

I’ll get started after I get a drink.

The thinking here is actually kind of solid. You make the decision to get a drink before you start working so that you won’t have to gt up while you’re working, and break your productivity flow. In actuality, you’re just putting off getting started on the next task you have to do. Instead of getting the drink before you get started, you should reward yourself for finishing a task by getting that drink. It might be a small thing, but getting that drink is something to look forward to once you’ve completed your work. If you have a goal to work toward, your work will go by much faster, and you’ll make your way to that goal much quicker.

I’ll get more done tomorrow.

It’s easy to put things off until tomorrow when you feel overwhelmed. Unfortunately, when tomorrow gets here, you’re going to have to deal with all of tomorrow’s tasks, plus the ones you pushed back from today. At the beginning of each day, make a list of tasks that you need to finish that day. Keep checking the list throughout the day, and don’t let yourself stop working until it’s all done with. That way, you’ll be able to start fresh tomorrow, and you’ll get more done each and every day.

There are too many interruptions!

Funny, how we can come up with just about anything, isn’t it? But… If you really feel like you can’t get anything done because of all of the interruptions you face in a day, there’s a good chance you can do something about that. There are always going to be interruptions you can’t avoid, but there’s probably quite a few you can avoid if you put your mind to it. Think about the type of things that break up your work flow.

If you’re getting a lot of non-work-related instant messages, consider signing out of your chat client. If you absolutely have to be logged in for work purposes, set up a separate account for personal chats, and let your friends and family know not to IM you unless you’re signed in under the friends and family account. That’s just one example. There are a lot of interruptions you can avoid if you put your mind to it

If you keep yourself on a schedule, and make a conscious, concerted effort to manage your time properly, you can be more productive. Keep these tips in mind, and your productivity will increase in no time.

Well, I must first of all be forthcoming and admit that my choice for the title doesn’t, in any way, do either my experience, or the treatment itself, any justice. Let me just say that I found the treatment to be AMAZING…. and that is somewhat understated.

As I outline in my video… I am more than a little skeptical when it comes to anything that involves “energy”.  Why?  Because with something of this nature, it’s been my experience that if you can’t see it, touch it, feel it, or smell it…then it’s far too easy to come under the placebo effect, simply because one is expecting a recovery. It’s easy to trick ourselves into thinking we just don’t have enough time to do things to keep ourselves in good health. The fact of the matter is that no matter how busy you are, you can always work good health into your schedule if you’re willing to try.

Eat Right

If you have a hectic schedule it can be very tempting to skip the home cooked meals in favor of fast food, or something that can just be popped in the microwave. You can actually eat healthy even if you’re extremely busy if you know how. For starters, skip the junk food. Instead, keep lots of fruits and veggies around for snacking on. Take an apple to work with you instead of a hot pocket. If you’re getting lunch from a fast food restaurant more often than not, consider making a large batch of something delicious on the weekend that you can take to work with you every day of the week. Each weekend, take the time to make a pot of chili, or a large salad. Then, break it down into five servings that you can bring to work with you each day of the work week. That way, you’ll have a nice home cooked meal to take to work with you every day.

Excercise

Just because you’re busy that doesn’t mean you can’t work in some exercise. Consider waking up a half hour earlier than you already do, and using that extra time to run around the block a few times. Also, you can find ways to incorporate exercise into your daily life. For example, instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs. You won’t really be losing that much time, and every little bit of exercise you can work into your day will help you to stay healthy.

Destress

It’s important for you mental and physical health to keep your stress levels low. If you feel like things are getting out of hand, have lunch in the nearest park, or just go for a relaxing walk on your next break. Letting stress build up can lead to irritability, and even back and neck pain. By taking some time to destress, you will stay healthier.

Don’t let your hectic schedule keep you from taking care of yourself. With a little extra work, you can make changes to your habits that will have positive benefits for a long time to come.

When you first start out with your own business, chances are you’ll be able to handle all of the tasks that need doing on your own. As time goes on, and you launch new products, and take on new clients, your workload will continue to increase. Eventually you’ll hit a point where you have more work than you can handle on your own, but you might not be ready to open an office and start hiring employees. By skipping lunch, you’re denying both your body and mind the energy they need to carry you through the rest of your day. Eating fuels the body, and stepping away from your desk helps to fuel your mind. By denying yourself that fuel, you are setting yourself up to be irritable and short tempered throughout the rest of the day, and that can lead to bad decisions.

Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff

Every day, you’re going to be faced with a lot of small annoyances. If you give more of your energy to these little annoyances, you won’t be capable of handling the big problems when they arise. Don’t give the little annoyances more of your energy than they deserve. Try to just deal with them as they come up, and then move on rather than dwelling on how annoying they were. By letting the small annoyances slide by, you’ll be better equipped to handle the bigger problems your day might bring as they come up.

Keeping your energy up is an important part of being productive. If you can keep your energy up, and your stress down, you’ll be better equipped to face your day, and all the challenges it might bring.
