Patanjali, the YouTube Guru, and Dr. Pillai

We are taught, from an early age, to be prudent and frugal. We are urged to make good, respectful use of our limited resources. We are encouraged to live within our means and not to expect a limitless supply of all we desire. That’s right in one way, but it can cause us to forget that some things are truly endless. The story that I want to  share is not unlike what many of the info entrepreneurs are doing… but it’s not original.

Live in Abundance

Now, there are some that have a pretty good philosophy… they talk about abundance. Matter of fact, they live in abundance. I can’t personally verify that… but I can see that a lot of these men and women have a passion for creating great abundance. From what I can see, it’s not just for themselves, either. They are inviting a lot of people along for the “ride”. That’s a GOOD thing… a very good thing. They understand the principles that govern our lives in relation to abundance. But it’s not new…

I have no criticism of anyone, or their methods… I think they’re doing a GREAT service, even as they do business… it’s part of the way that they do business and live their lives. Far be it for me to say anything to the contrary. I admire them… I really do!

“Waking Up”

For example… Jonathan Budd just opened a new site (which I signed-up for) that I believe is called “Life Transformation Club”(?)…not sure if I have the name right 8-)  …but I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s going to establish. Whatever it is, I’m sure it’ll be interesting. I know from some of his recent videos, he’s talking about us “waking up”. It’s waking up from the self-imposed limitations that we have subscribed to.  In “reality…” they are not true, they don’t exist… as Jonathan goes on to explain.

Another marketer… Mark Hoverson… goes about it in a slightly different way… but the message is very similar. “We” have the innate ability to achieve whatever we desire. Mark is showing us the  great “home movies”, often featuring his family, as he instills these timeless teachings… into business practices.

Patanjali and the “YouTube Guru”

On to my point… I, for one, am very happy to see these teachings that are being espoused by some of the premier marketers in the industry. It’s time to hear these teachings! They are filled with great “truths”… truths that have been taught for thousands of years, in various shapes and forms.

In my own example, I was writing the contents for a flyer, promoting an event for a spiritual teacher, and Enlightened Master, Dr. Baskaran Pillai. The content was concerning “Supernormal ” powers or “Siddhis” and our ability to acquire them.

The writings are authored by a highly revered Siddha by the name of Patanjali. He’s considered the Father of Yoga. These writngs are known  as the YOGA SUTRAS of Patanjalis. They tell of  these esoteric teachings, which is what is being distilled and metered out by many of the business gurus in their programs. There are so many offerings out there, but there is just one that I put my complete faith in… Dr. Pillai….“The YouTube Guru”.  More  about Him, next time!!

  1. Hi Chris, spiritual teachings along side of marketing training is certainly an excellent fit. As marketing is about providing value, it makes sense to work on “the self” to enhance the ability to sincerely engage in that purpose. But, more importantly, beyond the ability to become a better marketer – learning and applying spiritual truths in our lives leads to a sense of peace, discernment, and overall personal growth. Thanks for sharing Dr. Pallai…

  2. Well you’ve got my attention, Chris.

Can’t wait to learn about the spiritual teachings of Dr. Pillai.

This underscores the fact that your niche does not need to be business. It can be ANYTHING that you feel passionate about. Create the content, learn how to “sneeze” it throughout the internet, and you’ve got yourself a following and a business that will sustain you for as long as you continue building on it.

  3. Chris,
I am grateful for the teachings, too. I grew up thinking living week to week was good as long as all the bills were paid. I think schools should be teaching kids how to believe they can have whatever they want.

    Looking forward to part 2.

Hey Jaden… It’s difficult for most of us to wrap our minds around “abundance” due to societal and family “conditioning”. All we can do is “know” ourselves, perhaps through example of an enlightened teacher who can show us the way. God Bless.

  5. Hi Chris,

Can’t wait to hear more about the”YouTube Guru”! Although I have a very specific religious practice, I am always interested in different ways to apply the teachings and beliefs of my faith. I love hearing and seeing the growth of all these young people…..they are right on track! For me new points of view help me to open my mind further and embrace an ever more expansive reality.

Thanks for contributing to that evolving conciousness!

Well said, Momma…thanks for your comments.

You know, the beauty of these teachings are that they are truly universal and as opposed to trying to indoctrinate they invoke the presence of Mother Divine, Christ, Lord Krishna, or other deities depending on your faith and cultural background
