4 Keys To Enjoying Your Job and Your Life

Pursuing a career doesn’t mean having to choose your job over your life. If you know how to strike a balance between work and your personal life, then you won’t have to pick one over the other. To be your best in both, however, it’s advisable to develop a system that works for you.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Your ability to manage time is really one of the top two causes of success or failure in your life. What can you do to pave your way to success? Start a commitment notebook for your tasks. This way, it becomes easier to track your to-do lists and deadlines. Plus, you can even log in your personal goals you can incorporate into your work schedule, like a fitness regimen you’ve been dying to try for instance.

When you see your tasks laid out like that, balancing a fabulous life and a stellar career will be a breeze. It helps to define the importance of the different aspects of your life so that you know what you can focus on. A true successful individual will keep doing things that matter.

DEALING WITH STRESS

Of course, you will encounter stress along the way. Say no to stress-eating. Sit up straight at all times because slouching decreases your body’s oxygen intake, which eventually drains you of energy. Moreover, poor posture makes you develop chronic back and neck pains. Deal whatever it is you’re faced with by holding your head high. Flexibility and multitasking are things successful people do because of either socialization or nature.

Personally, I have modified my own view of multitasking recently, simply because of effectiveness, or lack thereof. I found that I was not following through completely on the task at hand, if I was trying to accomplish several at one time. You’ll have to see what works for you, based on your own needs.

LAUGHTER… IS THE BEST MEDICINE

More importantly, know the value of laughter. This is a foolproof stress buster. Sharing your humour with others eases up any awkwardness or pressure brought on by work. Say something silly or crack a joke because sillier can sometimes be better. If you’re not comfortable delivering one face-to-face, send it via email. To avoid blurting out inappropriate remarks, talk with your friends and colleagues. You will soon get to know them well enough to understand which things they’re not comfortable talking about or making fun of.

FINDING YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE

You have to know that you have a purpose in life. Working towards this purpose at a gradual but steady pace will keep you hopeful even during your darkest moments. Take things lightly but have a sense of responsibility. This should keep your smile on despite difficulties. It is innate in a person to know what their purpose is; they just need time to soul search and realize what needs to be done. When you follow what you have been meant to do, you will live in harmony with the rest of the world.

The balance you are seeking should already be found within. It just needs to be rediscovered and unearthed. Embrace what you have right now and celebrate what is yet to come. Remember, you are all capable of great things. Fear limits what you can achieve and you must remove this from your heart. Remember, your psyche knows no boundaries, so live a little but always remember that you also have to be responsible about the things you do.

Feel Comfortable in Your Own Skin

Be Yourself… It’s ALL that You Can Be!

It’s not news that most people tend to be perfectionists when it comes to their own bodies. Even the most confident person out there has a body-hating moment every so often.

Sure, somewhere in the deepest recesses of your brain, you know there isn’t one ideal shape. Still, the reality is that the mindset that tends to compare often does occasionally take root, and when it does, you wind up measuring yourself against seemingly flawless, “beautiful people”…who usually are pro-athletes, celebrities or fashion models.

So how do you fight the urge to exactly just that? By simply becoming comfortable with what you look like: your size, shape, and other unique characteristics. Because when you feel fabulous in your skin, you look FABULOUS!

Yes, it can be that easy! True sexiness and confidence come when you stop trying to change your shape and start working with what you have naturally. All you need to do is ID your body type, discover the best ways to work your quirks, and get ready to radiate some of that inner glow.

So don’t sweat over your so-called imperfections. People are more critical of themselves than they are of others. Others don’t really look at the small details that you nitpick on yourself.

You see them every now and then… the confident people who strut their fabulous getup. They set the trends because they stand out with such ease that it makes heads turn and stare in admiration.

You don’t have to be high-maintenance to do this. That’s the most common misconception that people have. These are simply people who understand their image and wear their clothes well because they have a style that works for them.

The secret here is to work around your closet pieces and make everything you wear look amazing. Ironically, not everyone who wears something expensive, unique, or trendy is considered fashionable. Just take a look at magazines and how some stars get criticisms of outfits that cost thousands of dollars.

Someone with style will choose the good things in life such as the company you keep and the things you do. It’s all about behavior attitude, and lifestyle. You are poised and subtle as you remain courteous to the people around.

You will naturally look good if you know yourself and the style that you most prefer. Be a master of your own body. First, find out who you are, your assets and flaws, and then learn to enhance to mask them. Whatever your shape and size, you should learn which types of clothes suit you.

If you don’t look good in something that everyone wears, then don’t force the issue. There is a wide array of clothes and accessories that suit everybody’s body type. Don’t go around mimicking everyone else, but set your own unique kind of fashion.

It’s not about wearing designer stuff, but more on which ones match your personality. It’s an art of incorporating trends and classic pieces that speak most about your personality.

The core idea is to channel your own essence and bring forth your potential to cop the confidence and style of the person you admire most. Be Yourself… just add a dash of flair!
