What is Life?

I‘ve had this tune from the early 80′s  rollin’ around my “world” for the last couple of weeks. It’s been in my head… in my car, on my computer, my smartphone. It’s a reggae tune, done by a Jamaican band called “Black Uhuru”. It was the combination of the driving rhythm section of Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare that made the music work at the time… and it still sounds great all these years later. (btw… If you like reggae and by some strange chance you haven’t heard it, it’s a really cool tune – here’s a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pg9SYIkwzNg)

But it’s the lyrics behind the music that kept it spinning in my world… it’s called

“What is Life?”

What is life? Life is a spell
What is life? No one can tell
What is life? I try to see
What is life? It’s looking bleak

They control the treasure of our birthright
And to survive we have to struggle and fight
The present confrontation of our mind
The flexibility of our vision

What is life? I try to see
What is life? It’s unity
What is life? I try to feel
What is life? It’s really real

Everyone say they are not excited
While our vineyard exploited
African woman hold me close to you
Help me to find don’t get separated

What is life? Life is a treat
What is life? Nothing but cheat
What is life? Life is a test
What is life? Some man Jah bless

They control the pleasure of our birthright
And to survive we have to struggle and fight
The present confrontation of our mind
The flexibility of our vision

I‘m not about to dispute the author’s words, because that’s HIS experience! However, what I DO BELIEVE is that in every moment, we are creating that experience… good, bad, or indifferent.

We face all kinds of lessons throughout our lifetime and how we respond to them will dictate the existence we have. We can have struggle and strife… and think God, or the Universe “has it in for us”. We could also look upon whatever we’ve just experienced as a lesson from the universe to be understood.

How do you tell the difference? How can you change your perceptions? You’ve probably tried a couple of techniques, or programs and still not achieved the success you’d hoped for.

There is ANOTHER Way!

What is Life?

I have had the extreme good fortune to have a teacher, Dr. Pillai, to guide me in my life, to answer those eternal questions. Someone who goes beyond religion and dogma… someone authentic who embraces science and theology. He is both a scholar and a mystic. He has been in academia and taught at the university level (PhD and 2 Masters). He has taught meditation for over 2 decades… bringing positive change into the lives of thousand upon thousands of students… from every walk of life, worldwide.

What is Life?

He consulted with the Super-Rich and has established, developed and operates successful businesses of his own.  He is the author of several books and has been invited to speak on international spiritual symposiums.

All of His efforts are focussed on improving life for everyone on the planet. He supports his dedication to the evolution of humanity, through his charitable organization… Tripura Foundation.

And NOW… He has brought forward some of the most precious, timeless teachings to share with the world in a way which addresses the needs and concerns of our modern society.

What is Life?

The QUANTUM Mind Program is Dr. Baskaran Pillai‘s gift to humanity. It is a year long program that consists of three distinct levels of participation. It employs the ancient wisdom of Patanjali ( of which Dr. Pillai  has intimate knowledge and consummate understanding) applied with the esoteric sounds of  Dr. Pillai‘s unique Mind Science Technology.

The QUANTUM Mind Program will not only answer those questions about life, but will powerfully equip you with the tools you need to radically change your life. It will take you into a life… not of  suffering and disappointment… but one of your own design.

Blog Mastery Award

‘Blog Mastery Award’ was recently  started byBelinda Cunningham.

The concept is to choose 10 blogs that you feel have mastered blogging and have great content, then  nominate them to receive the award. The recepients then write a post about receiving the award and go on to pay it forward by nominating 10 more blogs that they feel deserve recognition for a great effort .

First I’d like to thank Toni King for nominating my blog… and suggest you  have a look at the others who made her list!

It’s always means more to me when my work is appreciated by a peer… (so thanks Toni). I’d like to suggest that you mosey on over and have a look at what Toni has posted on her site… there’s always something interesting to read and ponder!

There are so many good blogs out there… The thing that I have enjoyed the most about the blogs are the people behind them. It really is a case of wysiwyg… authentic, real people who care. They care about their readers, but what comes through in their blogs is they also care about people they haven’t even met yet… they care about You, Me and our little blue planet.

I read so many varied and interesting blogs in the course of a normal week, it’s hard to name only 10 for recognition because most of them deserve it but I’ll endeavour to narrow it down… in no particular order because they are ALL so good!

Now on to… MY LIST OF NOMINEES :

What’s Working Now

I REALLY love what I’m doing. For my part, this is a life-long adventure along the path of personal development. An expedition into the unknown. That’s one of the joys I find in life. The fullness of experience… the richness and vibrancy it adds to every part of my life.

Great OPPORTUNITY lies before us ALL… there is no shortage, no lack… in this abundant universe! True, it does require some EFFORT… but it is attainable. We find many examples of others who themselves have achieved “it”. If we dare to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone… out past the edge of what we know we’re good at,we may find “it”.

The elusive “prize” is different for everyone, as are the paths we take to get there. One of the discoveries that I made along my journey is that I get great satisfaction from teaching and training others to master new skills. As they experience their own personal growth, so do I!

In order to be of any assistance though, I also know that I need to be a life-long learner. We need to keep abreast of the ever-changing environment… new discoveries, new ways of doing things… new ways of being.

So for my own personal growth it means being committed to a daily practice… one of continually enriching my understanding of those areas that I’m working in. It’s a never-ending process of education that I thoroughly enjoy.

Well, I’m learning something new everyday… and if I was happy with that I’d be o.k.. But there is so much information blasting out at us… 24/7 and ALL of it seems to be important! It can get to the point of information overload! There are so many new product offerings and releases EVERY  month… it’s just about impossible to get a handle on them!

I thought for awhile that I might be the only one who felt that they were choking on all this information. After reading a few blogs, I saw that  I was not alone. The consensus of the majority was that we feel that we need all this information to be current in the marketplace.

In our effort to find the Holy Grail, we sometimes overlook What’s Working Now . Instead, we wade through the avalanche of information and eventually come to a point that approaches overwhelm. What does one do? More than a few have succumbed to the information overload and given up.

Mike Dillard has developed the program which I have just linked above for you (my affiliate link) that addresses the issue of overwhelm and information overload. It was released Mar.29, 2010 and by all accounts there was a stampede for it… taking out his servers for over 2 hours.

There are all kinds of heavy-hitters promoting it, with all kinds of bonuses being offered. You just need to surf around to scope the different offers available. I don’t kid myself about being competitive with any of them, but I will say it gets the juices flowing to be part of the same launch.

I’m urging readers of this blog to check out Dillard’s product if you haven’t already. It will help you to move forward with your online presence and get a handle on the overworked, overloaded battery of information you’re trying to digest… if that’s what is impeding you.

Check out What’s Working Now … it doesn’t really matter if you buy through me. It’s of more of my concern that you find that peace of mind which I believe this program can help you benefit from! If that’s with a big-name marketer with lots of bonuses… that’s cool… just get it! You’ll be a step closer to what’s working now for YOU!

Do You REALLY Want Change in Your Life? Part 2

When we say we want change, we have to be prepared and willing to accept that “all is not as it seems”… that is, events may not unfold as planned and you may have to adapt to your new reality.

I  had an unique opportunity a couple of days ago to witness a very interesting live broadcast from India, by my spiritual teacher.  He was making a dramatic change. He made an announcement which rocked many of His followers, but as you’ll see, it’s message is really quite evolutionary for all of us. Our Guru, after many years has left His “old way of being” essentially, as he told us, because it no longer served Him.

His desire is to have His teachings reach the widest audience… but the title of “guru” for some conjured up visions of cults. So, as a PhD and an accomplished  member of academia, He has made the decision to work within the scientific community to bring His message to a broader audience.

Dr. Baskaran Pillai

I have to admit that I find it to be more than a little humorous how a true Guru (one who leads you out of ignorance and darkness… into light) moves away from that moniker, while we  – the masses of internet marketers -  gravitate to someone deemed to be a “guru” for their apparent expertise in marketing or software. Nonetheless, He changed His name…. from Dattatriya Siva Baba, to His legal, birth name… Dr.Baskaran Pillai… and the energy changes de facto. The name change is more than symbolic.

SHIFT YOUR THINKING

What follows is a typical story from an authentic Guru to illustrate the deeper implications…

”There is an account of a woman in her seventies who went to see Sathya Sai Baba. She told Him that she was devoted to Shirdi Baba. Sai Baba told her (I am paraphrasing) the one standing before you is one and the same; you do not recognize me because you are attached to names and forms and by the way where is my change? You still owe me …rupees! Apparently when she was a child Shirdi Baba sent her on an errand and she kept the change! At that moment the woman realized that Sai Baba and Shirdi Baba were the same.

Why is it challenging for some people to hear about Dr. Pillai’s name change?

Response from Dr. Pillai: “It is because people are attached to name, form and concepts. You should go beyond this and relate to my higher self. This situation is an opportunity for everyone to look at how stuck they are. An opportunity to move beyond your limited thinking.”

You’ve probably heard it said countless times… about how to make effective change in your life. It starts and ends with your thoughts, as we hold them to be the only possibility. Whether you see them to be “good,” or “bad,” the labels you put on them and the attachment you feel for them, will have a direct impact on the results you achieve.

Discover your passion in life… then move beyond your limited thinking… and CLAIM IT!
